A Royal Artillery Gunner from the Battle of Talavera in 1809 and here's the story of the battle:
"The Battery was opposed to the guns of the enemy on the right whose fire had completely silenced. The following day the Battery was posted to the North of Talavera and was opposed to fourteen 8-pounder and six 8-inch howitzers from 6am until about noon. By that time the men were almost exhausted as a result of two days hard fighting compounded by the fact that they had no provisions or wine and only a little water during the battle. In the afternoon the strength of the French attacks gradually died down and the British took up the Offensive".

All our statues include an optional engraved plate on the wooden base. On the bronze statues the plate is jewellers brass and the pewter/ silver statues have a nickel silver plate.

To add a plate to your statue please select the option above and enter your engraving details. Please note if the engraving is left blank no plate will be included. If you'd like a blank plate please write this in the engraving details.

Please DOUBLE CHECK the engraving as mistakes will require a new plate to be made.
