This is a Cold Cast Bronze 12" scale sculpture of an Australian Army Soldier during World War 1. As well as serving with distinction at Gallipoli in 1915 the 1st and 2nd Australian Infantry Divisions fought on the Western Front in all the major battles. During the 1916 Somme Offensive they captured and held the crucial village of Poziers from which the Allies eventually 'jumped off' to attack behind Thieval and towards High Wood. This is a Young Australian Soldier of around 1916 sounding his bugle during an attack.
All our statues include an optional engraved plate on the wooden base. On the bronze statues the plate is jewellers brass and the pewter/ silver statues have a nickel silver plate.
To add a plate to your statue please select the option above and enter your engraving details. Please note if the engraving is left blank no plate will be included. If you'd like a blank plate please write this in the engraving details.
